well, 4 coments from the family, not bad.
guess i should keep posting, seems like the right thing to do.
after looking at what seems to be hundreds of apartments we finaly got one, not as nice as our dream place but its still a good penthouse place. costing what seems to be a small fourtune but at least we can have pride calling it home for a while.
this weekend i went looking for a job as well. i had scouted out two places that are right on the water, one called shed 5 and the other called dock side. droped off a resume at each. at dock side the waiter took it and came back 2 min later to tell me the chef said i could start on saterday. well alright, havent talked about money or anything but i will show up and see how it goes. im walking home when i get a call from the other restrant, shed 5 asking if i can come in for a intervuie, i turn around and head straight back to where i had come from. the intervuie went well and i started the next day for a trile. at the end of the shift the chef, whos a little scary offered me a position. i said i would have to see about the other place, see how it was there first before i could make a desishion.
dock side was weird, the chef just put me in a corner and i choped parsley and stupid veg for 6 hours, i felt like i was back doing my aprentiship. i was saposed to be testing for a chef de parte position. not a bloody dishwasher. when lunch was done, witch i didnt have any part of i went looking for the chef to talk, he had left, with out looking twice at me. i told them them the place wasent for me and i left too. it was a shame, because he looked and saw some one so young looking he wouldnt take me seriously.
well i called back shed 5 and told them i would take the place. its a bit of a pay cut from what im used too but its an extreamly nice restrant, puts every other place ive ever stepped inside to shame. its where all the big bissness men in town take clients to show off. 200 seat fine dinning, its a calaber of cooking i dont know, theres tons to be learned. i just hope i can handle the chef..
soooooooooo thats whats new and exciting on this side of the world..

Hi, Mikkel!! Thank you so much for remembering my birthday. I've been gone for a while cause I spent the last month in Brazil. It was awesome!! But not as awesome as the restaurant you got a job!! I was a little curious so I search it on internet and I found its website and I have to tell you that if you really have that menu with all that seafood...I have to eat some of that!!! I'm glad you got a job and an apartment. It seems that you're starting to settle down there! Good for you!! Thanks again for remembering me! Besos!!

Well, congratulations! Well done, a new apartment and a new job! It is amazing what you can accomplish with a little energy and self confidence. Keep us posted about your new job, sounds like a great restaurant. Also, tell us about your apartment. Does it have a view and is it downtown?

I'm glad you found a job, and yes the Chef may be a little scary, but you now have a job that's going to challenge you to learn and grow, and we all know how you love a challenge!! Keep it up my lucky, lucky friend.
As for me, well it looks like I'm going to be going back to college part-time to do my Diploma. The great part about it is that I'll be able to do it while I'm working in the field and gaining experience, so when I'm done I'll have like 5 yrs of experience under my belt AND the Diploma to back me up. My Dad also said he'd help me out with it and is happy I've decided to stay in the Legal field.
Anyway, as things are finally falling into place here for me, and there for you I'm going to say goodbye for now. Happy Valentines Day (tomorrow)!! *hug & kiss*
